Positioned conveniently between Cocoa Beach Pier and Ron Jon Surf Shop, Q’s Crackin’ Crab & Seafood Kitchen is celebrated for its family-friendly ambiance and mouth watering “soulful seafood.” Since its inception, the restaurant has garnered significant attention, including features in Space Coast Living Magazine, Everything Brevard, Hometown News, and Florida Today. In 2021, it was a finalist for Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Startup Business of the Year and was named Best New Restaurant by Space Coast Living Magazine. The following year, the Bredwoods’ venture earned the Startup Business of the Year and Entrepreneur of the Year awards from the Space Coast Black Chamber of Commerce. As a dynamic team, Quinisha and Anthony are deeply involved in their community. Quinisha is a participant in LEAD Brevard’s 2023-2024 class, Chair of the Advisory Committee for the Brevard Prevention Coalition, and a member of the Economic and Tourism Development Council with the Space Coast Black Chamber. We Grow LA Is Changing The Landscape of Underserved Communities One Resource At A Time

We Grow LA

With over 24% of the Los Angeles area residents facing food insecurities and hardship, that means that 1 out of 4 households does not have enough food at home to feed their families. Whether it be due to financial hardships, limited resources or food deserts, We Grow LA is feeling a void that thousands of families benefit from weekly. Founder Lauren Brazile’s vision to build resources and bridge education gaps for underserved communities inspired her “We Grow LA” and “We Grow Inglewood” initiatives that are destigmatizing the landscapes of inner city residents.

To ensure that families can find them, they set up shop at 11 am every Friday, in the parking lot of the famous Slauson Swap Meet (The Slauson) located in the Slauson neighborhood. Since November 2023, We Grow LA has served over 8,000 families, provided support and education for 72 local business owners, supported 3,200 families  facing homelessness, provided health screenings for over 400 locals, engaged over 350 students and parents in LAUSD, and IUSD, and collaborated with 30 local organizations to serve over 6,000 families throughout the Thanksgiving/Christmas season.

We Grow LA is not just changing the lives of underserved communities but it is also impacting the lives of the community of volunteers who dedicate their time and resources to giving back. As everyone comes from all different walks of life, they share one common goal;SERVE. As a result, volunteers get the opportunity to connect with community members in an uplifting manner, build new relationships with other volunteers, receive groceries and household essentials, learn team building skills, positive ways to combat mental health and improve the quality of not just their lives but also the lives of everyone around them.
