The best things about living in the greater Los Angeles area are the diverse cultures, people, food, and endless events bringing together some of the world’s most influential people. One event that is changing the landscape of Los Angeles culture is the Oxtail Social hosted by 11Mile Cheese.
Infusing his Jamaican roots and love for Caribbean cuisine, Cheese has curated a monthly event that allows the diaspora to spread in todays ever evolving political and social climate that is trying to divide the black and brown communities. Bridging black culture, art and networking at Inglewood’s first ever black female owned wine bar, 1010 Wines and Events, has made the Oxtail Social one of the hottest events in the greater Los Angeles area.

What makes this event so unique is that it is completely free and includes free jerk chicken, oxtail and rice and peas! That’s right! COMPLETELY FREE! Guests have been seen indulging in some of the finest wine imported from Africa alongside high quality Jamaican delicacies. Chef Zagga poured his heart and soul into each plate served to patrons as the DJ reminded us of how prevalent WestCoast Hip Hop is.

Artist and barber Sandollas displayed her live art paying homage to west to west legends Tupac, Kobe Bryant and Gianna Bryant.
If you are someone who enjoys good vibes, great wine, and superb Caribbean food, The Oxtail Social is something you have to experience! Follow @11milecheese for updates on the next one and to learn more about how you can get involved.
