The sign may say checkout, but Ari Lennox is extending the stay. Vacancy: Late Checkout adds nine songs to her third studio album, opening another floor for the love, vulnerability, and vocal detail which shaped the original release. Hookah Baby begins the deluxe over swelling synths, drums, and bass from Tommy “TBHits” Brown, while Slide moves through production by Jay Versace. Across Speak Your Mind, Unicorn, and Hot Mess, the melodies change shape without losing Ari’s conversational center. The deluxe works like an added set after the audience thought the night was finished.
The expanded tracklist also includes Mobbin In DC Remix with Foggieraw and Leave Me Alone, which samples Shabba Ranks and Ting-A-Ling. The original Vacancy arrived in January with fifteen tracks, including Twin Flame, 24 Seconds, and Soft Girl Era with producers Jermaine Dupri and Bryan-Michael Cox. Ari will continue the year with a return to Austin City Limits for Season 52 on October 17. Stay late and listen to “Vacancy: Late Checkout” and follow the next chapter of Ari Lennox on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
