Andre Lawrence Drifts Through Memory & Motion In Dreamlike “September, November” Visual

Seasons can blur into one another carrying pieces of who you once were. Andre Lawrence captures liminal space in the cinematic video for September, November. The Circus 17 produce visuals unfolds like a moving postcard, gliding from New York City’s Chinatown to sunlit coastlines and distant cityscapes. Rather than anchoring itself in one place, the video moves with intention, using shifting environments and climates as emotional markers mirroring the track’s emotional drift. The imagery complements Andre’s understated delivery, creating a standout moment from his new album Corduroy. Amplifying the song’s melodic pull, each setting reflects a stage of transition of growth, uncertainty, calm, and restlessness. Framing the project as reflection rather than resolution, Andre explains:

By touching on my own ambitions and insecurities while growing up in New York, I illustrate the neuroses involved with being 21 and having a turbulent relationship with everything.

“September, November” lives within “Corduroy,” a project which trades easy conclusions for observation and honesty. Executive produced by Zuko, the album examines ambition, anxiety, and the instability of early adulthood with a self-aware lens. Since its release, “Corduroy” has earned recognition from Complex, Ones To Watch, Okayplayer, Newsweek, and more for its narrative focus and emotionally textured sound. Rooted in his Upper West Side upbringing and shaped by the discipline he learned through skateboarding, Andre approaches music with patience and persistence.
