Don’t get us wrong, we love when high-end designer collaborate with affordable retailers, but these collections can sometimes still be pricey and cost in the hundreds of dollars. That’s why we’re so excited about all the great spring looks from the Peter Som for Designati0n collection at Kohl’s–nothing will cost you more than $88. Great style at bargain prices never looked so good.
Inspired by the laid-back luxury of St. Barth’s, Peter Som designed this collection for ”the woman who loves fashion and wants it at a great price.” Kohl’s nationwide presence helps fashionistas everywhere get a taste of the good life, which was really important to Som. It’s great when high-end designers recognize that normal people are fashion-conscious and want to wear great looking clothes, too. Not everyone can be like Carrie Bradshaw and magically afford designer duds on a limited income–these types of collections allow a broader audience in on the fun, and we totally appreciate them.
So, too, do those with high-end budgets it seems. Harper’s Bazaar’s Executive Fashion Editor says of the collection, “When editors themselves want to be wearing the products, you know it’s a hit.”
Sticking with a color palette of black and white and beachy blues and peaches, the pieces of the Peter Som for Designation collection stay true to their St. Bath’s inspiration, but would be appropriate for any type of spring/summer environment.
