Walgreens To Launch Beauty Magazine (Sofia Vergara Covers First Issue!)

The beauty world is booming and companies are vying for the largest piece of the pie. From collaborating with premium beauty brands to beauty section overhaul, they’re pulling out all the stops. Walgreen Co.– which owns and operates brick and mortar Walgreens and Duane Reade stores, along with e-commerce sites drugstore.com, beauty.com and skinstore.com– made the latest move. According to Women’s Wear Daily, not only has the company added the Look Boutiques and the addition of upscale merchandise in recent past but they’ve added a magazine to what’s shaping up to be an impressive beauty resume.

The magazine, called Discover Beauty Within, will be published every quarter, retailing for $1.99. Along with beauty tips, trick and information on the latest trends and products, the glossy will also offer savings and deals– “the [first] issue has $20 worth of deals.”

The publication will make its Walgreens debut –except in Puerto Rico–  at the end of March. The following week, April 2nd, will see the launch of Suite on the Streetan initiative designed to promote the glossy’s launch. According to PR News Wire, “The Suite is a Walgreens and Discover Beauty Within branded tour bus that will serve as a mobile beauty studio to demonstrate select products and techniques to customers and passers-by.”
